Description      The massive figure strode through the streets, scythe in hand as its footsteps shook the land below. The busy citizens dropped everything to gawk up at her, freezing in their tracks as the titanic geta pounded craters into the road, traffic screeching to a halt. She was huge, no doubt; definitely something to give a kaiju a run for their money, but she seemed not to mean any harm, contentedly wandering about the beautiful city and admiring the scenery. Still, there was a sense of fear from those below; she was a truly intimidating figure in stature and movement, like an apex predator surveying its domain.

The citizen's curiosity got the better of them; news vans had pulled up once they found her to seem relatively harmless, or at least not actively intending to wreak havoc. Reporters chattered away, drowned out by the BOOM, BOOM of the giant's footfalls, cameramen craning their necks to get a decent view of her. As she approached one of them, she knelt down, like someone leaning in to talk to a pet, a massive whoosh of the wind as she descended.
Her voice was clear as day, a thunderous, terrifying tone, like death itself was speaking. Windows rattled, the star reporters covering their ears, and the people shuddering in terror as the single syllable boomed from the colossus.

    "Hey."

The dread giant simply waved, casually. The newswoman below shuddered for a moment, swallowing her fear. At least she wouldn't have to hold the mic up. "H-hello! I'm Stefanie from... from Channel 8 news, and, uhh... umm..." Broadcasting school had trained her better than this, but this felt like something unreal. More like a weird fanfiction than anything she'd ever expected.
A thunderous chuckle echoed through the city. "Just like the tengu back home. Wondering why a giant shinigami's wandering around? I just thought this'd be someplace nice to visit on break," she replied. A smile crossed her face as she brought her scythe back behind her neck, leaning it between her elbows as she bent down a bit. "Unless you were going to ask how I did my hair or somethin'."
Stefanie quivered. She didn't have any clue what was being said, but... looked like it was her job to figure it out. "Your hair is quite nice, yes, but, err... what are tengu? Or shinigami, for that matter?"
"Well, tengu are sorta like you guys! But birds. Or wolves. It's complicated." She stood back up straight, still ringing loud and clear to the mics below as the camera refocused. It sounded absurd, but there was a giant woman with a scythe walking around, so hey. "And shinigami, to sum it up, are death gods."
The camera visibly shook at this. Assorted cries of panic and fear rang out throughout the city, civilians beginning to flee from her as she stood still. It was a slow, creeping movement, akin to a crowd forming a wave at a sporting events, but much less... pleasant. The reporter sputtered through her investigation. "So... you're a god of death!? Are you here to... to kill us?" At that, the crowd roared into outright chaos, not even waiting for a reply.
"Er, no, uh..." Komachi glanced around nervously. Eiki would not be happy to see such an uproar in the living world, especially this far out of both of their jurisdictions... "Well, yes, I mean..." That tore it. The city erupted into something out of a disaster movie, cars smashing into each other as people ran screaming for their lives, news helicopters pulling out as woefully under-equipped police raced to the scene, setting up evacuation routes as quickly as possible. "As in, yes, I am a death god, but no, I'm not a reaper. Chill."

Chilling was no longer on the agenda, and the Channel 8 van began to pack up and run, Stefanie being yanked on-board, calling out by reflex "Thank you for your time!". As the engine revved, the world seemed to darken, the wheels spinning fruitlessly... The driver hammered the gas pedal, to no avail, seeing the view from the windshield spin as it climbed higher and higher, soon filling entirely with a single gargantuan red eye...
"You didn't even get my name. You guys need to calm down."
She was holding them like toys. They felt powerless, helpless in her grip, shivering in the visage of death itself... She sighed, gently setting them down, and without a second lost, the van peeled out and tore straight off, going as far and as fast as possible as every road around her filled with lights and sirens. She took a few steps, surveying the tiny little police cars 'blocking' the paths, chuckling a bit to herself as the officers stepped out of their vehicles and began to aim. No sense in giving them grief at the moment. Next to her, a window washer continued his work, seemingly unperturbed. She leaned up against the glass, cracking and crunching against her as she turned to the man at eye-level. "At least you're being reasonable."

He turned to her, and she could see he was quaking in his boots, too. He whimpered. "I just wanna go home..." She found herself quite disappointed; back in Gensokyo, humans were a little less, well, easily intimidated. Granted, they generally wanted to punch you and steal all your stuff, but. Still. Ah, well. The building seemed sparsely populated; she poked her finger through the window, smashing through it and sliding it from one end of the building to the other, tearing down dozens of cubicles in the way and sending them flying out of the side.
"There. Spotless. Go home." She pushed herself off the tower, causing it to wobble from the immense force, but it held up fine. She might as well savor this. She approached the nearest police blockade, slowly soaking in each BOOM of her steps, the city square shaking as she moved. She knelt down once more in front of the panicked officers, aiming squarely at her as she kept her unperturbed expression. "'Sup?"

The megaphone was held firm in the officer's grip. "PLEASE PUT DOWN THE-"
"Ah, jeez, I can hear you just fine!"
"Err, sorry." He shut the megaphone off. "Please put down the scythe and stay where you are. We don't want anyone getting hurt."
She let her legs slip out from under her, sitting casually with a THUMP as her weight made her surroundings quake once more. "Well, see, my boss kind of really, really wants to make sure I don't lose this, so I kinda hold onto it all the time. I don't think she'd be too happy if I gave it to you guys."
"Your boss? Are there more giants we should know about?"
"Nah, she's tiny." She chuckled. "She's like an angry little ant. Or, like, imagine one of those pullstring talking dolls except it lectures you all the time. Green hair, weird hat, has a bunch of random ribbons on her-"
    "Komachi."
"One sec;" she held out her hand behind her with a finger up. "And she just kinda shows up even though you think she'd be working, like, all the time-"
    "KOMACHI."
"Yeah, I get it, and... well, you'd know her if you saw her."
    "Komachi."
She let out a small grunt of irritation. "Yes?"
    "I'm right here."
    She chuckled. "Yeah, I know."

The yama, having re-introduced her palm to her face for a brief moment, walked to the law officers, gesturing to the giddy giantess behind her. "Sorry about her. I trust she didn't give you too much trouble?"
"Well, she kind of started a state-wide panic-"

"And I will make sure she learns her lesson, certainly." She nodded. "Thank you all for your patience. I will be taking her home now." She clambered aboard the shinigami's shoulder as though she'd done it a dozen times, smacking her on the back of the neck with the rod she carried and what sounded like a "mush!". The giant sprang to her feet, stomping off into the distance. "I can't leave you alone for ten seconds..."

Glad to hear it. I normally do violent RP and such and it's nice to have a change of pace every now and then.
