What is that "blanket" on the turret for?
Not the first time IRL i've seen that

on this one, pretty much to just keep the rain out. On most of them IRL, seals the turret for NBC protection

Really cool design. As for the front hatch, the SU-100 had a similar design if I recall correctly.

Almost all the SU-series TD's from the SU-85 to the SU-152 had the same general hull design with minor differences. The main way to tell them apart was by what kind of gun they mounted.

Heheh, this is such a tiny nitpick that I actually feel kinda silly pointing it out... But in one of your comments there, you mention liking having the driver's viewport on the hatch. Funny thing, though... When you flip the door closed, that viewslit is pointing straight skyward, because the hatch is on a 45-degree hinge. To replicate this for visualization, hold your hand flat, as if it was that door. Put a pencil through your closed fingers to represent the direction of the view, then "close the door". The pencil should now be vertical.
Very nicely done work, Pyro. Ignoring the pesky nitpicky details that Kody and I are bringing forward, your actual style here presents a very clear and informative depiction of a believable vehicle.

I'm having a hard time visualizing what you mean. Although I admit it's not immediately apparent, the hatch is supposed to slide into place and then be pulled inwards to lock flush with the armor exterior - it isn't on any hinges.
Thank you though, I honestly do appreciate the nitpicks. :3

Ohhhhhhhh, okay. If it's on sliders, then that doesn't matter. I see what you mean. Had thought it was a hinged mechanism. The connector rods there are a bit on the ambiguous side.

Yeah. I couldn't think of any especially clear way to show that XD
