Description
The Type 101 has been in service with the Koshyan military for over 20 years now, serving mostly as a tank destroyer - though the vehicle has also been used as a base for others, such as the Type 111 anti-aircraft vehicle and several self-propelled howitzers.

Designed from the outset to have a rather wide firing arc, as well as an exceptionally low hull-down profile. Originally open top, modern variants are fully enclosed with approximately two times as much armor plating as the first model, often supplemented by reactive armor bricks. Other modernizations include smoke-dispensers, a night-optics package and advanced sighting addition, and improved suspension to more quickly cover difficult terrain.

Once the Koshyan Army's largest armored vehicle, she was constantly up-gunned during her years of service to compete with increasing armor technologies. For a time, she would serve as the Koshyan's main battle tank until the Type 117 was introduced; prior Koshyan tanks often focused on higher speeds and smaller profiles, and so the Type 101 was the only armored vehicle that could carry the largest cannons and keep up with the rest of the division.

In the rocky hills of her home nation, she was able to take advantage of her strengths in low hull-down profile and high penetration probability of the main gun on most forms of heavy armor. They were exceptionally effective during the harsh winters, where crews could dig in and make the vehicle almost entirely invisible behind a snowbank or under a group of alpine trees.
