I think she looks great. The colors work to me. I'm a sucker for pink hair and she's got it! She seems almost like a magic caster in the way her weapons work and elemental AOE attacks. I would love to do fan art of her dressed as a sorceress if it were closer to halloween. xD

I kid of course, glad you approve! Thanks for the comment!

Nice concept. It's nice to always have a cheerful character to usually counter the serious one, good dynamics right there.
I think she's cute. Maybe a name for her could be something like Arcane or Magica or something like that seeing how she's spellcaster based.

It's a tried and true cliche, though I had a few ideas for the story swimming through my mind that would mix things up concerning their personalities.
Alas alack, I doubt it'll ever come to pass.

Thank you! It's pretty simplistic, but it turned out.

I like the color scheme and I think this looks pretty damn good.
Just need a name.

Coming from you that's quite a compliment.
And yeah, as you can see, I've been pretty lazy with my character creation.

Aww I think she's cute, and I like purple. If you wanna keep with the spellcasting you might try some mage designs to. She might look silly with a hat though.

I tried a few designs to that regard, but they all felt... somewhat out-of-place in a Mega Man setting. I even tried giving her really long hair that gave her the appearance of a cloak. But given the current situation of any of my particular 'oc's' I doubt she'll ever get fully fleshed out.

Well, there WAS Berkana:Β megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Berkana
Who was a witch-themed Maverick, but I dunno how you feel about that.
Design looks really cool, she seems like a nice friendly Reploid! The incantation bit is an interesting detail I've never seen on a Mega Man character before, it's neat.
(Nice to meetcha by the by, recent watcher and all. Your stuff is really nice, glad you decided to share this one!)

Ah... X-Treme 2. Sadly, I have never been able to get my hands on any kind of handheld console, and as such, have mostly been unable to play all the Gameboy games, so I kinda missed that one.
It's true, I really should have put more thought into her design as a magic user. Β At least throw a cloak around her or something... but I find such clothing so difficult to deal with. I wanted more 'sorceress' than 'witch' but I don't think I even really got THAT across. She wasn't meant to be a combat reploid at any rate.
At any rate, nice to meet you! It seems Doll sent you my way. Don't be fooled! She'll talk me up, but I don't nearly live up to her expectations. I just like to draw sometimes.Β
Still, more the merrier! Thanks for watching, and your comment. They're always appreciated!

The handheld ones are pretty fun- sometimes more challenging than the originals thanks to the narrower screen space!
Probably emulators out there if you're into that sort of thing, but I do totally understand the appeal of playing on a classic cartridge, part of why I collect old physical copies of stuff.
I think as it is she has at least a bit of a "magical" vibe just from the hair, but even just giving her a glowing power gem or something can get that point across too in an understated way. I guess it really comes down to your vision for the character, whether you want her to be understated or overstated with her theme.Β
Wow, pretty harsh on yourself man! XD I think you're doing just fine, so don't beat yourself up over something like how frequently or how professionally you draw- do what you like, eh? Yes, Doll recommended you during a journal I did a while back where I was trying to encourage people to help share their friends' profiles so people within the robot/mecha/anime circle could find other artists with similar themes. It worked well too, discovered lots of other artists like yourself in the process!

It's true. I am my harshest critic. Mostly stems from the fact that my vision far exceeds my talent, and I have so many things I want to put on paper but I simply don't have the skill to do it right and so it's just a never-ending cycle of frustration, because I get frustrated when it doesn't turn out, and then I lose the desire to draw, which means I'm not practicing, which means I'm not getting any better and...
....bit of a catch 22, but only because I don't know how to stay with it through the frustration. I like to draw to relieve stress, not create it.

Well if the issue is having a pre-conceived idea of what a piece should look like in your mind and being frustrated with the result, why not try doing some pieces with no planning whatsoever? Heck, go in without any expectation of what the result will be. I find doing that really therapeutic, because regardless of whatever else it provides some linework practice, some colour experimentation- and by the end, there's something to learn from, whether I like the result or not.
For the record though, what you produce is really good, and even some of the great artists had that sense of uncertainty with their own work. Picasso is on-record calling himself "a fake and an imitator," which is ridiculous considering the guy went on to become one of the best known artists EVER. You're definitely not alone in feeling that way, I think on some level everyone does.Β
I actually do a lot of acting work, among other things, and I find that has really helped me find a lot more confidence in my work- being onstage/on camera/on mic is briefly daunting when I start performing, but once I find a rhythm it's really freeing.Β
