The hour's hand has slowed to crawl, to drag, and shudder to a halt.Perfection of unreal dimension, frozen in void's flawless eye.
An age, an aeon, a Blink! It's past.
Then down the tableau cracks a fault
with crystal, "Ping!"
it vibrates! sings!
And all that's held back strains along
the thread unravelling double-time.
The swan's song echoes sweet upon
a breath of wind
then wings afar.

I think out of all of the images in the Dreamscapes book, this is the one I found myself turning back to and staring at the most. The delicate touches of curls to the rose petals, the flow of the cloth and wings, the always gorgeous stained glass. Everything just seems to flow together so perfectly.

I think this is one of my favorites of your pieces so far! 
you illustrated the cover of a book recently no? I think I saw it... almost bought it just for the cover.
I do have a question though, if you would be so kind to answer.... how is it you get such lovely textures? are you adding things to the art? (like salt?) I try and try to do unique stuff with watercolors, but it always comes out as a blob, especially if I try to use more than one color.... any pointers? Good books of reference? thank you so much... your art is truly inspiring.

That mosaic in the back of it is just so amazing! It gives the character something god-like, as if it all was set in a temple that in itself was set in the vastness of the sky. All of this picture is just so inspiring... and it reminds me of a story I have written a long time ago, and of which I would have like to draw the picture of as well. It too involved a magical almost god-like creature, being wrapped in a wonderfully flowing gown and sitting in a dimmly lit room playing the flute. And a great mosaic would be in the back.
I shall take this picture of yours again as an inspiration to maybe one day be able to draw with the amount of detail you do and try to ban the image of my mind to a paper...
