WARNING! Not only is this picture High-Octane Nightmare Fuel, but it contains spoilers for Mother 3 and Epic Mickey!

I decided to go a little dark today and post this little scare. I know Halloween would have been a more appropriate time to post it, but still went through with it.

In case you don't know, here's some background info: the hit GBA game Mother 3 has some unused battle backgrounds depicting Lucas' brother Claus, as a robot, naked boy, Giegue-pale, golden angel, agonized face and finally, Giygas-ified. Sometimes called the "Mother 3 Unused Boss" or "Lucas' Nightmare", it also has background music that has a faint-sounding voice. Many fans thought it was chanting "Ryu...ka..." but it was actually the DCMC's "1, 2, 1, 2" played at a really slow tempo. Nonetheless, I officially dubbed this the NUMBER ONE scariest video game element of all time. Lucas facing the Masked Man at the end of the game was tough enough, but that was emotional. THIS...THIS probably would have been the ultimate brother-battle.

Speaking of brother-battles, I sided the Mother 3 Unused Boss with an ANOTHER unused element from an altogether different game: Epic Mickey for the Wii. If you've seen 's concept art for the game, you no doubt already know that the Storm Blot was conceived around the time when Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was going to be the villain. Ultimately, it did not make it into the game. It's not as scary as the Mother 3 Unused Boss, but it's still kinda unsettling.

The Mother 3 Unused Boss and the Storm Blot share a LOT of similarities, which is why I paired them together. I hope you sleep well tonight after seeing this! >
UPDATE 2/23/2014 - I've added "Vapor2" and "Mini Elevator" to the tags, something I may ultimately regret...
