The picture is lovely. ^w^
However, as I remember the story... She didn't love him back. She was kidnapped and her mother, Demeter, goddess of the harvest was so depressed, nothing grew.
When Hades was forced to return Persephone to her mother, Hades tricked her, gave her 12 pomegranate seeds to eat on her journey as she refused to eat during her captivity. Persephone ate 6 and, therefore, has to return to Hades for 6 months of the year, during these months her mother is falls into depression and we have winter.
Maybe it's just the version I heard. ^_^

Ummm... really depends a lot on which version you read...
I read, at first Persephone was afraid from Hades, but with time she began to fall in love with him... And in this version, Hades advised her to not eat anything from the underworld, but as the saying goes, "curiosity killed the cat". =^^=
Anyway ... stay in doubt. But they remain my favorite couple.
