That's just how I pictured him when I was reading Goddess of Spring by P.C. Cast! I you, oh Mighty Lord of the Underworld!

The Underworld is like a better version of Earth, despite its negative connotations in human literature, according to P.C. Cast anyway.

Yeah, if you get into elysium. Lol. Tartarus CAN'T be better than up here! I hate how people tends to see hades as a villain. Like in hercules (it's true hades hates heroes, but the real villain is hera, not hades), clash of the titans, n percy jackson MOVIE (the one in the book is perfect)

Heck, even Disney is slightly to blame for the evil connotation, but at least they made him funny, right? When you say Clash of the Titans, do you mean the new one or the old one? Yeah, Percy Jackson's Hades is one of the better portrayals I've seen.

I haven't seen the movie, so I can't agree with you on that. But you haven't see P.C. Cast's Hades. He is "Greek God", the handsome sterotype about Mediterranian guys, personified, despite the fact that he dresses mostly in black. (I have yet to see him wear white, the other cardinal color of the Underworld.)

Well, hades in the movie wants zeus's master bolt to destroy olympus (which sucks), unlike the i'm-busy-n-i-don't-care hades in the book (which rocks). Is the goddess of spring a series? I'd like to dwnload it, but i'm a bit confused... Hades will look good in everything, but he looks best in black, i think

Yeah. That "i'm-busy-and-I-don't-care/-I'm-miserable" Hades is the one that everyone is acquainted with at first. P.C. Cast's Hades is more moody and brooding. The story is sort of a "Beauty and the Beast" retelling of the "Hades and Persephone" myth, with a modern woman in the place of Persephone. Goddess of Spring is part of Cast's "Goddess Summoning Series". The books can stand on their own, but it's even better to read them in the order they were released. If you want tot do that, start with "Goddess of the Sea", the first book and my favorite so far.
P.S. The next one after "Spring" is "Goddess of Light", which is supposedly taking Artemis and Apollo, the heavenly twins, to Las Vegas. I can't wait to read it!

my favorite god couples at all time! maybe because i never heard anything about either of them cheating with random mortal/other gods in the real myth. and hades rocks.
