Firstly, I apologize for the unbalancedness of this picture. XD

That aside, I discovered Teletoon is playing Cyber Six again and was all yay! A few years ago, when I first saw the show, it inspired me to draw a kid version of Julian because there's a kid on the show who's also called Julian XD.

Anyhoo, that old inspiration bit again and this was the result. I decided to challenge myself with the task of coloring this one. The background became a challenge too, when I completely forgot that one can have two point perspective, not just one dot on the vanishing point XD

Yeah, you know you need to do more perspective studies when you forgot what you learned in high school art class D:

Moving on, while coloring this, I kinda discovered more of Julian's character. He was a bitchy little kid, but.. his parent's abandoned him and he was pretty much raised in an orphanage. No one wanted to adopt the clawed, 'tattooed kid' and all his friends grew up way faster than he did. He's a made up race of mine that's basically a tiger born into a tattooed, human form, called an Isu Khan. They're a self named race, which means King of Men, and are as wild as the tiger spirits they have.
Julian is pretty much tamed by the time he grows up XD, but as a kid, he was still a wild child and pissed off at the world because he ages three times slower than all the other kiddies. I tried to depict him at around 9-10 years old here, meaning he's close to 30 years old already . Poor Julian.

ANYWAY(yeah, I'm totally rambling) the other kid is Kayla. I like the idea of them knowing each other since they were kids, so.. trying to work that idea into these two's storylines. A case of wanderlust brings Kayla to where Julian likes to hang out - some old seaside ruins - and she pretty much starts to pester him, like most 4 year olds can, with her endless questions and tall tales XD. In the end, Jules finds out she's lost her daddy and guides her back home. The encounter sparks an unusual friendship between a Beast and a Dragon.

And on that note.. omg, they're so cute ;3;

There's only one continuity problem with this picture I didn't feel like fixing.. Kayla's outfit is too modern for when they were this young.. but the fact that Marly's flower snuck onto it made me not want to change it into something more medieval xD.
