Between commissions, I like to doodle things for myself to keep the motivation flowing. It's aways good to get things drawn out, rather than wait for a bunch of ideas to build up and create a block, I say XD.But for the most part, my doodling doesn't have a clear direction, and as a result, this is what happens X3. I added some color since it did turn into a bit of a study on the workings of leather, since I was wearing my leather trench at the time ( it's effing cold in this house D: ).

The right side of his face ended up giving me some trouble in the end, since I noticed some stuff that were too 'bad' to be ignored. It kept giving me trouble until I decided 'hey, that's enough effort I'm willing to put into this' and thus I set the stylus down and declared it done.

There's a bit of a long backstory to Baraka's creation. He's both new and not that new. I'll try and keep it short XD. To start, he's the elf version of my newest Draekard character, Blaise, but the resemblance isn't too 100% compared to my other Draekardized characters. For the most part, though, he's based off a retired character of a friend of mine's, and that's where alot of his look comes from - undercut, brown hair, elf, ankh theme - The biker look is my addition to him, and he does have a little Xigbar in him, too XD.

But anyways, there was something else I was curious about: in another piece, you mentioned that half of Baraka's right ear is missing. Is there a story behind that, or did you just think that looked cool?

There is, sorta. I mostly did it because both Baraka and his previous self, in another life (yay for reincarnation XD), are supposed to be hard looking, beat up characters. And it's just so tempting to have a lopped off ear when they're so long X3.
There's a story behind it all, of course, and for Baraka it was elf haters. But he escaped and kicked their asses before they could take off his other ear.
