First of all i think she is definately a cutie and i would kiss the crap outta her if she were a tangible person or koala (clears throat.) Hmm your angular and very drafted brushwork gives your work a very affluent and distinct look to it. i like the split of orange kind of running in the value transition in the neck to it's cast shadow, and the subtle olives and dulled reds.
The teal shirt has a good contrast with that too and matches the background. You have an interesting triangular composition with the hair falling to either side and then another triangle above her head with the glowing teal lights which adds to the overall dynamic well
where i would critique you the most is the edges in the piece as they are all super sharp, i only see one kind of on the right by the hair line but i'm not sure if that was intentional. Look at photos of people's faces and zoom in on the hairline, see how they are kind of fuzzy between the skin? you can replicate this phenomena with a soft brush.
You have a harsh light cast from the right which makes the face very bright however, the darkened right cheek makes no sense if you were comparing the lighting to the left side. If the light were cast at say 1 o clock on the portrait it would strike the left cheek just as much, but you have only indicated a small specular on the left side.
Look at how lips work in photos, they aren't super sharp on the edges and you may want to add little shiny sparkles to lips so they don't appear to be made of plastic. I see you've indicated relfected light on the under side of her right nostril but not on the underside of her left jaw, which would catch reflected light if the light were striking from 1 o' clock. It also will help to vary the edges in the eyebrows as well, do experiment with soft brushes or the blur tool as this will add a lot of charisma and realism to your work e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
Also look at black hair and notice that if a strong light as you have indicated will cast highlights or some speculars on it, and it won't just be all black. Serge birault does some fine examples of this as most of his dames are dark haired, and very very very kissable. make sure the eye lid catches light all the way around, pretend you are literally putting a light there and recording where it would fall, everywhere it will fall, and ya can't go wrong e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Fabulous piece! I love the texture of this - reminds me of parchment. I also like how her face isn't symmetrical - it adds a rich layer of character that would be absent otherwise.

She is BEAUTIFUL! The coloring is STUNNING! The rosy cheeks and the contrast of the skin against the black and the touch of blue makes her feel so alive and gives her so much character and attitude. She's gorgeous and djkasdjkasdsa
