SgIt is nice gun. So far I only put some what cheap ppu 250grs fmj throught it. Got 160 rounds of the stuff, just for plinking and banging steel. I got reloading dies, once I empty some brass and I will get some better bullets and start to find what it likes. Right now the ranges around my area only go out to 500 yards. I plan on getting a higher end scope a little later in the year, looking at the vortex razor hd.
Recoil of course is not as bad as the lott. But it still let's you know you are spitting out some serious lead.

Just for plinking? Damn! Isn't .338 LM expensive by default, even with the PPU ammo? Online, It's about 55 bucks for 20 rounds! Regardless, that's a nice looking rifle

yea, it is not cheap, but reloading helps bring the cost down. The biggest cost is buying powder. It is eating 85+ grains per load, so you go through it fast.
I use the therm plinking loosely. Going to work up a load to where I get good groups at 500yards, but most of the time it will be just for punching holes in paper and banging plate, but it is nice knowing if the SHTF, I can reach out there. Plus I don't have anything long range bolt guns in my collection.
I do plan on getting a new scope for it, this scope has just a pretty plan reticle, going to get something with a more fancy mil dot one.
