Wow, this is one of the best shots of the Jaffe Memorial I've seen. Love the way that the sky was darkened by clouds giving the rest of the image a darker feel and making the bright color of the fountain really pop! Did you do any enhancements to the colors or did the original settings of the camera result in this? I think this would be one of those times when it would be nice to have a whole bunch of the same picture taken about 20 to 30 seconds apart and then go in and use the various images to cut out things like the vehicles and the guy standing in the lower right hand corner and really give this image a clean and less cluttered look. Still a very stunning image of a neat subject matter. Great job!

I never had time to find out as I was only in belfast for an afternoon and got all excited looking about.
I really like a mix of tones, for me altering the sky isnt somethign I really like to do. So I love a cloudy day like this.
I did edit it, In lightroom, I extended the ranges of the blacks and whites and also increased the shadows and decreased the highlights a bit.

I can understand being excited to see as much as possible on a limited time frame. Can't wait till I have the time to travel the world and see some of these amazing things!
Yes, it's the Jaffe Memorial Fountain erected in 1874 in memory of Daniel Joseph Jaffe. If you are interested, it does have quite a history to it. In 2007 it was in really bad shape, so it was sent to Shropshire, England to be restored and put back at Victoria Square in 2008. They did a bunch of research on it when restoring it to figure out what to original color was.
