I LOVE your mermaid! She's more fish than human, with the long tail and fins and large gills at her waist. I couldn't picture Disney's Ariel as the mermaid of Yeats' poem, but this mermaid--definitely! The purple hair flows gracefully with her movements, and the expressions of both mermaid and man are wonderful! Great work.

All good! The poem is called "A Man Young And Old: III. The Mermaid";
"A mermaid found a swimming lad,
Picked him for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown. "
