EX Yamhan (EX ヤムハン)Yamhan, or rather Tiencha in the english version of Dragon Ball, is a fusion between Yamcha and Tenshinhan. He first appeared in the Budokai series. This EX Yamhan however, is from a game called Dragon Ball Fusions: a Nintendo 3DS game that focuses, as the name suggests, on fusions between characters from the entire series. It has a new type of fusion called EX fusion, which is identical to the fusion dance, with the differences being that the characters wear special armbands and the clothes are intermixed rather than turned into default 'Metamoran' clothes. This type of fusion has unlimited time but is weaker than the regular fusion dance. In addition, up to five people can fuse together into one.
Drawing: As for the drawing itself, I really liked the design they gave Yamhan in that particular game, so naturally I gave it a shot to draw him in my style. Since the game features a bobble-head style it was quite interesting to draw Yamhan with normal proportions. I drew him back in December of 2016, however due to work and school I didn't bother posting it. Still I decided to upload it since only one other drawing existed (at the time) of him (see Darkhameleon for his full colour drawing of EX Tiencha: www.deviantart.com/art/Dragon-… ). My drawing was done on a slightly modified A4-size paper (215x310 mm). I used various references for the scars of the character and other small details but he was mainly drawn from scratch.

I would say that for that very same reason, that you mentioned, I decided to draw Yamhan. His design has always been very unlike anything in Dragon Ball: three eyes, long hair or in Tiencha's case a receding hairline and a fully scarred body. I think that especially the Dragon Ball Fusion version (this one) is my most favourite design in any Dragon Ball adaptation.

Actually I am currently working on a vector coloured version of EX Yamhan. I have no idea when he'll be done though, but I hope this summer.
As for Yamshinhan, yeah I have seen it before and I absolutely love it. Bloodsplach is an amazing artist and many of his designs are great.

You mean between Yamshinhan (Potara), EX Yamhan and Tiencha (fusion dance)? I can't really say, I guess it depends on what you see as canon in the series.
The potara fusion would be the strongest but as of Dragon Ball Super it has been retconned to a 1 hour timelimit, still it lasts longer compared to the regular fusion dance (which is 30 minutes) and is hinted to be stronger because it is a multiplication of the battle power of both characters (i.e. Yamcha x Tenshinhan). On the other hand, the EX-fusion is weaker than the regular fusion dance but in exchange it has no timelimit. Therefore, I would have to say that the Potara-fused Yamshinhan still wins by raw power but EX Yamhan could potentially win by time-out. As for Tiencha, he could perhaps defeat EX Yamhan but their power difference is not clear.

By the way, what is this unique art style in this picture? Could you explain, please?

Well it's my own style I guess, I use dark tones and create highlights throughout the artwork. The proportions and muscle definition are a combination of Akira Toriyama and realism, as I was heavily influenced by Dragon Ball as a kid I use Toiryama's style as a basis. In general I would say that my own style is mostly recognizable by the overused dark tones and contrasted highlights, the shading follows a gradient-like pattern where I start from very dark and slowly build up to pure white (or the canvas colour). It has an overall 'gritty' feel while appearing smooth.
Haha I guess that's the best I can come up with, however I would say that my style is not in its' final stage and the way my artworks turn out largely depends on the type of pencil and the type of paper.

I've finally got some spare time to work on my art again, and I'll be submitting two or three projects here on DeviantArt this summer (one of which is the coloured version of EX Yamhan). As for the progress on that art piece, I've had the primary colors filled in for quite some time now, the only thing that rests is adding highlights and shadows. Basically, the art piece is in its final stages, so it should be coming very soon.

I'm pretty alright! I've been enjoying the summer so far. But I haven't had a lot of time to do inking lately. I've been having to help family a lot lately.

This artwork was done months ago, however I haven't had any time to upload it until last month. Unfortunately I still don't have much time to draw. I am working on a vector version of this drawing, though.
