It looks really nice - great job on the fire texture and on the anvil shape and texture

(It is my dream to actually have one of these to make my own swords)

oh, you need to clean your neck protector and then 'varnish' it with olive oil (as would have been the way in that time period - in fact, it was a commodity that all fighting men kept in order to keep their gear and weapons from rusting... )

I used to work at a place called Historic Families and I learned a massive amount of information about that time period (900ad to about 1400ad) - I also learned metallurgy in order that I would be able to better describe the swords and the method used to create them in different parts of the world -

Once I can build my pit and get my hands on an anvil, My plan is to create swords using the folded steel method of the Japanese craftsmen, but making it more of a Eastern European hand and a half shape (and double edged)

Awesome, and about my Gorget, it actually was very clean and polished, and I left it outside my house this August, during a summer day, and you know how it is living in Southern California, it rarely ever rains. Well anyway, I left it outside after I did some exercises (I put on my full armor and do martial arts in it to get a better work out-totaly borrowed this from DBZ but hey it fucking works) and believe it or not, there was a freak storm overnight, got it all wet and it rusted.

The olive oil would believe me, have prevented that rusting (assuming you cleaned it the morning after the storm)

I want to make a correction, I accidently had a cloned version in the file as well, it is actually 1616 Polygons, and 3223 Triangles.

3216 Polygons
about 6400 Triangles. Game engines usually read triangles. It might seem like a lot, I know, especially for an enviro-piece, but modern day games can prolly handle it. I tested it in Unreal3, no problems, especially if you have one or two of these at a time...Doubtful a town or village would have more than 2 or so.
