Engineer doesn't bring a lot of power to the battle arena (ironic), but Problem Solver is a potent attribute that works to support Pokemon from the other direction - rather than boosting attack rolls, Engineer can force rerolls on any ally within sight, making him a solid support choice when rounding out your box. Hard Hat is fantastic at mitigating bad luck, while being able to teach Dig to any ally is one of those meta-shifters I couldn't possibly imagine. Repair Kit is a bit of oddness slapped in there for future development, as there aren't currently more than 3 or 4 Device cards written.
