Theory: In prehistoric times, Bagon's line was closely realted to Totodile's, having a mostly aquatic based life. The aquatic ancestor did not evolve into a Flying-type, instead it's line being entirely Dragon/Water types. These Pokemon would have behaved similar to crocodilians of our world, with the ancient Shelgon being mostly sedentary in behavior as it awaits evolution. It's shell would have been lightweight, possibly designed to let it hide amongst rocks as it waits to evolve.

Salamence looks like a fakemon...Like a komodo dragon, but still great.

Awesome! They should make a game where you play regularly until the big conflict with the team of baddies, and they're trying to bring back a bunch of Prehistoric Pokemon, and they're machine malfunctions and both you and them get sent back in time and there are a bunch of Prehistorics, and you see modern-day pokemon, except they're kinda DIFFERENT, like an aquatic bagon...Hmmm...It'd be a great plot twist I think. Anyway! Great pic, great concept! The art looks very official, and the last evo looks like a super-graceful Swampert or somethin'. Great job!

Would be a fun idea, for sure.

I tried to emulate the style of Pokemon as best I could, and I think I did use Swampert as a bit of a base for the limbs. Good eye. ^^
