Description
Me and Sindy followed Ivan into the temple he told us about. Then he stopped and turned to me.
"Christopher's forces must have knocked the other two statues out of place...heathens," Ivan said.
"What other two statues?" I asked.
"On the other side of this door are two statues just like these," Ivan said. "When all four statues are positioned correctly, the door opens."
"Yeah, good. I was never good at geometry," Sindy said. "So what do you want us to do?"
"Selena, I want you to get in there and move the statues," Ivan said.
"Me? How?" I asked.
There's a small tunnel that animals use to access the caves," Ivan said. "Find it and use it." When Ivan mentioned animals, it scared Sindy since she's very small. So we found the tunnel and I did head bash, breaking the entry. Then a bunch of baddies came to kill us, so I used my fire breath to defeat them. Then we put the statues in place, opening the door.
"Any trouble?" Ivan asked.
"A little insect trouble...nothing I couldn't handle," I said.
"Little insects my tail section," Sindy said, annoyed. So we continued on to the interior. When we reached a door there, Ivan did a mysterious chant. But there was another problem. So Ivan turned to me again.
"There is a...disturbance," Ivan said. "It seems my fears have been realized: they have desecrated the interior as well. Guess we'll have to open it the old fashioned way. Make your way through the connecting rooms, restoring every statue you can find."
"Hey, you know what? Let's don't and say we didn't," Sindy said. "Why don't you do it?"
"You want my help? Very well. Hop up," Ivan said.
"Alright, the old guy's coming to life," Sindy said. So we jumped on Ivan's back and got to a secret door. But Ivan warned us that Christopher's forces are on the other side, waiting for me. So we went to find the door, then we saw a strange crystal in a corner. So hit it and something amazing happened to me.
"Hey, Selena, what was that about?" Sindy asked.
"I don't really know," I said. "I just felt like I had to hit it...and when I did, the power of a thousand suns surged through my body."
"Right, okay. Well, you know what? You should really sleep better," Sindy said. "You know, I'm gonna stop bugging you. You need to get eight hours."
"Forget I said something. Let's go," I said. So we continued to find the door so we can open it. Finally we found it and I used fire to open it, and Ivan stood there, waiting.
"That's quite an entrance, young half fairy," Ivan said. "There might be hope for us yet." So we continued to go inside the temple. The next room contained another strange crystal. Ivan called them half spirit gems, which gives a half fairy strength. Then we heard noises in the distance. We couldn't go any farther because the next door was locked because we were intruders. So I knocked some statues out of their place, opening the door. But the apes I met back at the marsh. Then the leader spoke up.
"Well, Ivan, we nabbed your wife, brother in-law and sister but managed to escape our clutches until now," the leader said.
"Stand back, Selena, let me show what a half fairy trained in the ancient ways can do," Ivan said. So he did powerful fire attacks which killed the enemies. But when Ivan was sure all the apes were gone, he was exhausted.
"Are you okay, Ivan?" I asked.
"Yes, as I get older, it takes longer to recover..." Ivan said.
"You were incredible, Ivan," I said. "Can you show me how to do that?"
"Patience, young half fairy. Soon enough, you'll learn all that I have to teach," Ivan said. "But right now, you must fight." As we got close to the temple, Ivan warned us that Christopher's forces might be inside as well, but I became cocky. Finally we were inside the temple. I saw a statue of an evil half fairy. Then we got to a balcony.
"Selena, we're not in Kansas anymore," Sindy said.
"What happened here?" I asked.
"This is what Christopher has done," Ivan said. "Put all the islands under his iron rule."
"I wanted to see where I came from...but I didn't know it was going to be like this," I said.
"Yeah, no offense, but this is a bit of a dump," Sindy said.
"This was once your home, Selena," Ivan said. "Together we can make it our home once again...reclaim what's rightfully ours."
"What do you mean, Ivan?" I asked.
"I mean my time of heroics have past...but with your help, well be able to beat Christopher," Ivan said.
"I can't, Ivan, I just learned what I am," I said.
"You can, Selena, you can," Ivan said. "You are a purple half fairy, a very special creature. You have given me hope again. Now it's time to give hope to all of them."
"I'm not sure what help I can be, Ivan, but...I'll try," I said. "I'll try." So Ivan took us to a room with a strange pool. Ivan said the other half fairy guardians control different elements, with Ivan having the element of fire. After a little training, Ivan looked at the pool while Sindy looked as well.
"So what's with the pool, man?" Sindy asked.
"If you must know, certain half fairies have the ability to see visions," Ivan said. "The thoughts, memories and dreams of others...and to see what's happening in places far, far away. I am one such half fairy, and in this pool, the visions come forth." Sindy decided to test the pool to see if it's true, but Ivan said it takes time and patience. But what he can see is that the Guardian of Electricity and Ivan's brother in-law, Victor, has been taken to Half Freezer. But if I encounter Christopher, I must run because I'm not ready to face him. I asked Ivan how I will get there, which made him smile. Then he told me something I never knew about myself.
"So let me get this straight, you're saying that I...can fly?" I asked.
"Maybe you've been hanging in those caves too long, old man," Sindy said. "Selena can't fly. We all know that."
"Yeah, a bit of fresh air will do you good," I said. "I've never flown in in my life."
"It's you that will be needing some fresh air, Selena," Ivan said. "Now, close your eyes, take a deep breath and empty your mind." So we got to the balcony and I kept my eyes closed to concentrate. Then I felt myself transform and I was beginning to fly.
