Because of that, she helps Callie, Marie, Pearl and Marina with Splatfests and other festivals. But during the Fireworks Festival, Elise was chased down by an evil Octoling scientist named Dr. Eggman. Only to be guarded by another of the most ranked inklings, Sonic. But then an mouthless octoling named Mephiles killed Sonic, causing Elise to cry and release the flaming ink from within her. But with the help of Sonic's friends, Tails, Omega, Knuckles, Silver, Rouge, Amy and Shadow, Elise used the Ink Emeralds to revive Sonic and defeat Solaris. After that adventure, Elise fell in love with Sonic and became his girlfriend.
