Description
Here's Lom Pyke of the Pyke Syndicate from " Star Wars, The Clone Wars ". The Pykes show up on Kessel in " Solo, A Star Wars Story " too. Lom is dead by then though. * raises a glass for Lom * Since these guys deal in spice, and well, in " The Clone Wars " anyway, kinda act like stoners, ( Lom does anyway ), I think they were sorta designed to look like " hookah-smoking caterpillars ". I could be wrong though. I've wanted to draw Lom in this series forever now but it's taken a long time for me to understand his head. I got lotsa reference on him now.

As much as i loved seeing the Pykes in Solo, i kinda wish they looked a bit more like their animated versions... Either that or Quay Tolsite is simply an oddball among his kind.

I don't want my family/friends/pets to die. and I don't want my favorite fictional characters to die. (All my fav characters are the Pykes).
I have no idea how a death of a character can make him more interesting. if he was resurrected or something, then maybe?
I love Lom regardless what's happened to him in the cartoon.
Lom died because of his own greed and arrogance.
but he fought to protect his family. I still mourn.

He did decide to go against Dooku at the end to so he was kind of redeemed. I do wish they could have used him a little more.

for Lom it was just "friendship🍸✨". for profit and out of fear. obvious cat is obviuous.
and yes. killing Lom was such a waste of a great character. he was pure perfection. his design, voice, personality...
still can't believe they did it. {fanservice moment was nice tho}.

What I really wish is that they gave Quay Tolsite from " Solo " the correct amount of fingers.

And a larger, more elongated skull. Longer neck, limbs; slender body.
Boots that would show that he has two fingers on his feet.
Sure thing I was dreaming about Lom 2.0. Didn't happen. Anyway, I just happy that we got a Pyke in live action.
Maybe greedy disney is planning to use the Pykes in some series; and it's easier with the new version of a Pyke. idk.

I personally love all Pyke designs. And I've got different Pyke designs long time before Solo. Including more "Solo-like":
{btw disney might've used these artworks to make Solo Pyke. But we will never know}

Ooh! I do wish the pykes had those catlike faces you have in that one version there. Yeah, I bet it's possible they may have done a Web search of pykes & came up with yours. I've wondered about that with some of my art, not the of course since I just drew Lom the other day.

ha it's interesting how Quay has 3 stripes on his mask; and my zebra fc has 3 stripe markings. but whatever. the Pykes belong to disney anyway.

Lom has a hella ton of symbolism in his faceplate. cannabis is the most noticeable.

So, in Lom's 2nd appearance, he seems to have some sort of lenses over his eyes. Have you heard any info on those?

The goggles were supposed to be a part of his design from the very beginning.
an asset from 5/4/2011 includes them. but the modellers/animators/filoni etc. just didn't bother to make Lom/Pykes look right. /sad
for what? those are drug impairment goggles ofc.
to look cool.
or protect his eyes. makes sence in s6e10 when Lom goes outside. it must be windy in there.

That's weird, so, the double amulet thing there is a mistake? I'll hafta have a look at that when I watch it again.
As much as I've watched that show, I've never really taken note of the color of blaster lasers. Maybe they changed their minds on it, or forgot.
