Varchani's Phoenixdex Entry

Varchani feed on the blood and energy of other Pokémon, although they are often too clumsy to drain much before their victims get away. They are easily frustrated and throw tantrums when their prey escapes, inadvertently startling other potential targets and scaring them off. Some Varchani use their disarming looks to charm humans closer for a bite. The bites are said to cause disorientation and often inexplicable anger in people.

Vampires vs. werewolves, blah blah blah boring. Why can't we all just get along? Especially since, in many traditional legends, vampires and werewolves were often closely associated—referred to by many of the same names, found in one another's company, shapeshifting into one another, or even considered one and the same kind of monster! Suck it, Twilight, Underworld and all your many ripoffs. (Pun not intended.)

The Varchani line has a signature move, Vampire Fang, that is more or less a Ghost-type Drain Punch, taking half of the damage done to the opponent and restoring it to the user as HP.

The ability "Cursed Fangs" is exclusive to this line. Whenever the bearer uses a "biting" attack (Bite, Bug Bite, Crunch, Fire Fang, Hyper Fang, Ice Fang, Poison Fang, Super Fang, Thunder Fang or Vampire Fang) on its opponent, and that opponent doesn't already have Cursed Fangs or one of a few other abilities, the target's ability is changed to Cursed Fangs. A more proactive Mummy that triggers on fewer moves, essentially.

The ability "Wicked Fangs" is basically Iron Fist for biting moves (all of those mentioned above save for Super Fang, which does not use the normal damage formula and so is exempt). It increases their base power by 1.3x when the bearer uses them.
