Oase 2 was found in Romania.

Oase 2 is old, really old. Older than Sughir, older than Kostenki. Oase 2 has one of the first modern-style skull's in Europe, but with weird sorta Neanderthal-like back teeth... sorta. The DNA says that Oase 2 is about 6% Neanderthal.

One other point about Oase 2, is that even though he lived and died in Europe, he's more closely related to the ancestors of of today's East Asians than Europeans. After the East/West Eurasian split, his family came from the part that now lives in the east, but they never went east with the rest. They moved to Romania. That's not to infer that today's East Asians and Native American's are descended from Oase 2's tribe. Oase's group left no descendants. Just that today's Han businessman had distant ancestors that were cousins of Oase 2.

I used forensic artist Richard Neave's sculpture recreation for the picture. As usual I used Artbreeder and photoshop to finish.

Oase 2 was probably in his older teens when he died and I know I've made him look 35, but he lived hard and was 6% Neanderthal.
