Yeah. I describe them as having the color of heated coal in the forge.

Of all the ones you've commissioned, I like him the best out of the men, Artemis out of the women.

Appearance-wise or story-wise?

Appearance mainly, but I like how you shift the story away from the ancient to more modern tellings.

For someone who was thrown of a mountain for being too ugly, he looks better than most of his siblings!

Yeah, that's not the case in NeOlympus. Now he was crippled while saving Ares' life... and he's not so much ugly, as just sort of awkward in social situations.

That can be enough motivation for a particularly petty woman to betray her husband, sadly.

And then in return for saving his life, Ares banged Aphrodite. What a guy!

That reminds me of how wrong it was they did what they did with him in “American Gods”. Apart from how stupid it is they made him a racist, How did he not recognize a fellow cuckold in Shadow Moon? He had once been the patron god of betrayed husbands.

Well considering all the children he's listed as having on your page, he can't be too awkward

I love how Hephaestus and Ares look so much alike and yet so different. Thanks for helping me bring NeOlympus to life, Phil!

He reminds me a bit of Rhinox from Beast Wars. Big guy, gentle, intellectual, and socially awkward but lovable nonetheless. Also, that hammer looks like something I would've wanted to play with as a kid while doing demo work for my parents and neighbors. It's tough to make a hammer look elegant or royal without making it look impractical, but Phil does credit by making something as fit for ceremonial decorum as for a forge.
