Description Rough work for an unreleased project. The theme was post-apocalyptic heroic-fantasy ( ) and I had to ask myself : what would remain of our "modern" civilization after several centuries of decay ?

I mean, just "post-apocalyptic" is closer to us and it only takes Mad Max or Fallout to picture it... But if the world we're talking about has come back to a medieval state, it means there's no more advanced technologies and very few advanced materials (like plexiglass, aluminium, rubber, etc). As usual when a civilization falls, the remaining people would progressively tear the ruins apart to build their own stuff...

And so I tried to figure out what kind of ruins we would leave behind after several centuries have gone, after survivors "recycle" our stuff or nature takes it back. I ended up with this lost stadium, isolated and invaded by vegetation, becoming a sort of natural sanctuary.

Thank you. I am writing a Naruto, maybe I say this already. Its just I rarely see any tournaments or an idea for a  Colosseum  that creates  separate  landscapes and environments for the battle contenders.

Thanks ! The small forest in the middle always makes me wonder what creatures could be living inside. ^^ Looking at this drawing one year later, I think I could've added a few bigger shrubs on the benchs...

Well, I'm glad you like it guys. I pondered uploading this pic here, since I'm always trying to put only the most "polished" works... But I guess because pencil works always look a bit rough, doesn't necessarily mean they look bad.

Another setting I considered was a nuclear plant's chimneys ; probably among the most solid structures being built nowadays ! There should be something left of them in the future. But it felt a bit too cliché when it came to post-apocalyptic stuff, so I went with the stadium instead.

As for the rays of light, I did them with an eraser. I had to keep the sky a bit "dirty", not completely white, so that the rays would appear brighter ! ^^
