The limited use of color really makes it dramatic. The texture pops it out and makes it visually interesting. Your composition is well balanced and keeps my eye moving. It's nice.

The figure isn't even necessary. It would be as if not more successful with out him, ie it still gives the same emotion but puts the viewer personally into the scene. You should do more scenes and incorporate different paths or scenes that you can feel.
What is the size of the piece?
What sort of paste did you use?

i just dont know why i did put the person on it, afterwards i didnt like it too... but it was made out of cement and i didnt want to tear it all off ...
70x120 i guess... im not sure anymore ... it hangs aroud at my parents place haha - and the same with the paste... don't know it anymore... i just poored it on it... some pretty vheap one - hey, im student haha

we're all students,
in some way...
I like to use hot glue to build up texture, and facial tissue dipped in acryllic gesso. If you can control it, it makes an interesting surface to work on.

Very cool! I'm not familiar with such a tactile style although I've pondered doing something similar. Reminds me of some old Quake levels
