Hello how are you, hope u r well
Well I want to start with an apology for not being active on DA, no faves no comments, it's because I don't have internet, I connect only BK and cafes, etc.., So the only thing I could do is see the deviations but nothing else, because I have a tons of deviations to see I still have'nt see it all. Now my neighbor have wirelles so I'm taking his internet so I don't know it will last, but I'm waiting to have my own internet soon, and then I could be here like before.
So I want u to know that I haven't forgot about u and that I'm still alive
Thanks for the support
Ok chao take care

I have not been active either, possibly less than you! Don't fret. I have finally gotten active again and gone public so I have no choice but to work now, yay! Hope you are well. Till later.

Yo, sorry so slow to respond. I will probably never get caught up. I think I'm going to just delete all my favorites and start over. I would love to answer any questions you have. Althoug it's been a while now, I remember going through your stuff. I found it very intriguing as you have some wonderful qualities already.
So if you're still interested, let me start by asking you a few questions. Just answer off the top of your head
1. What do you not like about your work or maybe what skill do you want to further develop?
2. What do you think are some of your main strengths?
3. What goal do you have with your artwork, if any?

Hey, its no problem at all. Iv been keeping busy with my studys so iv been away alot myself. although i think starting over may be in your best interest if your that far behind
As for your questions..
1. I think my biggest goal is to learn to shade.. im not sure what it is but no matter how many times i try to figure it, im never able to manage even the most basic shading. I guess its just beyond my reach for now.
2. I think i dabble in too many styles to have obtained a real strength.. although my style does incorporate strong lines at times which can be a strenghth. Im generaly too critical of my work to think of things as a positive though. heh
3. If i have a goal it is to improve. I love art and wish i was more naturally talented.. but as most things dont come easy im always up for a challenge.
Hope those are the answers your looking for

Sweet! My head's already brimming with ideas but it's 3:40am here and I've got to run errands tomorrow, or so I hear so I'm crashing till then. I will leave your message up so I see it first when I get back to the pc. I want to go over your gallery yet again before replying. As for shading, I'm assuming you meant with a pen or some sort of ink?

Shading in general.. really in any medium. Maybe its my perception or just my overall understanding of shading thats off? not sure. but even with charcoal (the shading Medium) it poses a problem..

The main one for me was a PlayerWorlds game called Delrith Online. I came in with an oldbie reputation, started mapping, was made an administer and wound up being offered co-ownerhip by the 2 guys who made Delrith, Dark Troika and Reindeer. Unfortunately, it fell apart from the top down as it was getting pretty popular. But it was good for me cause that was my first experience where I got to see all angles from the inside out. I tried a few times at DragonSpires but I was too much of a game player. I did go on to be friends with Motorhed (Chris Wolf) who mapped and co-owned DragonSpires. He gave me server space for a C+ programmed 3d game world I ran for like 3 nights, lol. It was too much for my modem to handle. He also ran the Crossman Defense League for a while at Urban Dead. I later went on to help organize a devastatingly effective branch (Shadow) of the zombie group Extinction. We cracked malls by ourselves with 12 to 20 people.
Otherwise, I started on TRS-80 Model III's in 1983. Then I got a Commodore 64 with a tape drive and a light pen. That is when I started learning the programming language Basic (no VB back then.) I was also big into consoles (Atari 2600, Coleco, Super Nintendo, Intellivision) but hell I started out gaming on pin ball machines and pong back, oh, around 1978 I guess. I kind of laid off computers for a while until I got back into college around 1994. I failed classes for hanging out in the computer lab. By then you had Windows 3.1 I think. The internet was pretty new, Mosaic was the first graphical browser (no IE or Netscape/Mozilla yet.) That is when I started playing tellnet Moos, rps, etc. Then Quake I hit and I was hooked. I lived in a crappy town so my ping was bad but I was addicted, having just played a gazillion versions of Doom. I then went pc-less again for a while before ending up on the net for good although I only recently got broadband. I started learning graphics apps (paintshop pro then photoshop, 3dsmax, poser, etc) and did some minor skinning in Neverwinter Nights, did a gun mod for Ghost Recon, alternate graphics for DragonSpires, animated gifs for BotBattle, just odd things here and there for fun. My DragonSpires friends spread out through the world and I followed. We did free beta-testing of lots of cool games (Blade Mistress, an asian game called Elancia, lots of things I've forgotten since.) My last games were Urban Dead where I still have a ton of characters, Call of Duty 2 which I just started playing again, BotBattle where I was offered the programing position but I had to learn Pearl I think so I skipped on that.
Whew! I've probably left out and/or forgotten many games/sites, platforms, etc. I've gone by so many names (Pain, Pain from DS, Locomule, ??) that I can't even remember them all anymore. My lack of broadband at home kept me relegated to the slower and older games but I never really intended to be a professional. I just did it all for fun. Now it's weird being the old-school gamer guy who has seen it all get so huge. I remember in the 6th grade playing Dungeons and Dragons and being amazed that there was no board when we opened the box, heh. Playing Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (the old text version) and then freaking out over learning how a text parser let you just interact with the game 'seemingly' at will. My problem is that I do so many things (music, art, etc) that I've never dedicated myself to any specific game/genre for very long before moving on. I can see it in my art. Other people have definable styles that show through all their work where mine looks more like individually commissioned graphic arts pieces. I always want to do something different, but to do it well. Hence my recent desire to really learn to do traditional art. I've been self taught in pretty much everything I've done except for taking viola and violin in orchestra for 3 years in school.
Sorry for the long rambling reply. I kind of just wanted to see it all myself, sorry! I'm curious why you asked so please feel free to reply again. Nice icon btw. I prefer their first cd (one of my favorites) but hey, you have to expect an old bastard like me to be jaded by now, lol.

Hey Zac!
I hope all is getting better for you in life. You're a great help, and encourager. We all appreciate your effort and time that you dedicate to our club, and I personally love having you as an admin. On payday, I am getting you a sub again, because you do so much for us, and not just because of that, but because you are an awesome person to have here.
Thank You!
My best regards to you and your family!
Your sidekick, Sabrina

Yo Sabrina No, no, no more subs for me please! I'm about to buy one myself and was planning on making the next sub for the club also. Thanks for your kind words and I'm just glad I can help out at all. My family is slowly getting back on track. Thanks so much for keeping me in your thoughts. I think I'm going to come out of all this a better than before it all started. Well, other than being wayyyyyyy behind on all my friends recent works of art (blush)

Thanks but unfortunately, if it goes well, it won't look all that different from your photo, lol. I thought of adding a tropical fish but I probably won't change a thing. One of the best "looking up" water shots I've found Btw, I started on this but my art work has been delayed for a bit. Thanks again for letting me use this.

No rush, you take your time. Rushed art is let art and more fart, I feel.
