Thank you! Any camera can do this, it's all about technique!

Yes definitely. In fact last night during the blue moon, I kept trying to use different settings but the photos kinda of kept coming out funny. So then I used night landscape and zoomed as far in as my camera can go, and tada! I got the moon itself and you can see all of the details and craters and stuff. I'll be posting some pics of it? But it is amazing how simple it is to take such an awesome picture. Did you use a tripod?

Proper technique can make a difficult shot look easy, but if you don't know what your doing it's hard to know the proper technique. It takes plenty of practice to keep consistent with shooting good photos. A tripod is an absolute must for landscape images. I never leave for a shoot without it. In this shot, it would be impossible to get the motion of the water hand held so the tripod was necessary here.

To be honest, it's more of the skill of the photographer and the location, than it is the camera. So long as you have a DSLR that shoots RAW, and Photoshop on your computer (for the RAW processor), you can in theory shoot pictures just like this.

I don't like too much the mist's effect; it seems to me like over-used, someway. Although, here, coupled with the bright light of the sunset - or the sunrise? - it gives really a mystical impression. I love the brightness of the rocks on the shore and the way the stones coming out the sea become like island of darkness in the middle of the pale water.

Thanks! It seemed to fit perfectly here because of the extreme light. Couple that with smearing ocean spray on your lens and you will get a misty effect.
