Description Here is the "first swallow to the flock" as we say here (=there will be more in the days to come)
I imagine it to be able to largely retract the antennae into the cephalothorax.
you can maybe see it has three single eyes, one on the "labrum" (thr "upper lip" between the mandibles, and one on each coxa of the manipulatory appendages, and a pair of atrophied compound eyes ontop the cephalothorax.
It has small eyes, because it's a cave-dwelling species.
It would be reddish brown/black in color.

My point exatly! The project i had in mind was a small chunk of carboniferous jungle/swamp some how got isolated and life evolved seperatly up untill nowadays and hell arthopods come in many shapes and sizes so you cant really hlp it

well, that is not something you want on an alien planet right? good luck with your project, although I think it's problematic, as the concentration of O2 is more or less equal all over the world (yeah, the higher you go, the thinner the atmosphere... but that's not the point here) and arthropods need a lot of O2 in the air to be as big as in the carboniferous

well the solution is a global rtise in concentration of O2, but that would mean large insects could be in many places and not just an isolated island

On the other hand, if there are no large animals on the island - birds get stricken by a sudden epidemy of a disease they aren't immune to, or maybe a food source becomes too scarce to support mammals and birds, the island could be the right place for large insects to develop. In other places large insects may face compettition from vertebrates. but if you wipe out the vertebrates on the island...
