Description
A whole lot of experimenting in this piece.
First is the perspective, though I'm not completely satisfied with it, it doesn't suck either.
Second is the snow, it's my first time painting on details instead of using a gel pen.

There's a lot of bright in the foreground and even more pale in the backgound - my scanner lost all of the subtleness of it. And even my attempts to adjust for my snowy footprints and blue-violet sky on the computer failed, so here it is just as it scanned. Scanner!!!! (Take a calming breath) The figures were more important anyways.

Chouji, Ino and Ino's daughter, Ryokou, are walking to a New Year's Party.
The feelings I was going for are:
-Ryokou is excited by the snow since it's a rare thing in Konoha's climate.
-Chouji is thinking how pleasant it is spending his time with his two favorite girls.
-Ino, though enjoying her daughter's reaction to the weather, is realizing she's cold.

Notice that though Ryokou is now six she still has the same little stuffed kitty she had in the festival picture. Her grandparents gave her the hat to match 'kitty' (besides the fact that she does love the color.)

This is based off a scene from my 'Star Double crossed' FanFic (from the chapter with the same name as the title).

EDIT: Got my oldest brother to act as tech support for me, then re-scanned the piece (one level up-grade) - Voila! My background is back!!!!
