Yes, yes! Gosh, while I've been looking at movie info (House of the flying daggers) on the site I stumbled upon some dumb-ass review. Like this movie is totally bullshit, doesn't make sense - how this, how that, how summer turns into winter right away, how she could run through the woods being blind, he couldn't love her, blah-blah. Jeeeez, man, have you heard of such thing as hyperbole or porn is all you watch. I looooved that dance at the beginning and her song, so beautiful and sad and when he started singing it in the end I almost burst into tears. Oh, I was about to watch it, but then got side tracked a little catching up with Gong Li's filmography. I watched that Hannibal:Rising movie, then remembered I didn't really watch properly Silence of Lambs. Now I want to watch again that third movie and then will get back to the Oriental marathon and watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Totally agree, after I loved and sympathised her character so much in the Curse of the Golden Flower it was kind of weird first to look at her playing such a bitch, but damn she was good. And beauty, that beauty of hers is divine

pff, but that's silly. first of all, it's a genre that doesn't require some realistic scenario. it was an awesome movie, a work of art. as for summer turning into winter - fun fact!

I am more into cultural aspects when it comes to such movies. Costumes and some pieces of traditions or rituals is what gives me real mini orgasms (Curse of the golden flower, fucking never stopping orgasm ), but sure their martial arts are fucking awesome too.
