2007 (July 1)14" X 11"
Prismacolor markers, and Nexus Ebony .30
on Vellum paper.This is a self portrait. I created it to enter it into 's Unconventional Self Portrait contest.
I've kept to my usual MO...that is to use all 50+ colors in my collection...Oh and I ordered more because, as you know, you can never ever have too many colors.
It took about 12 hours...and my hand is cramped now. Ouch.

I do like those sorts of designs. I actually use to do a lot of mehndi a few years ago, and that has definitely carried over into my art.

Thanks! I really enjoyed doing this one, and I am pleased with how it turned out. I had the outline of my face sitting around for weeks, and then the mood finally got ahold of me this weekend - it was a good distraction.
