I really like this - the big open sky, the sorta witchy appearance of the girl created by the hat and crook. Β It reminds me, a little bit, of the series of paintings Berth Morisot did of a goatherd, orΒ shepherdess - tho the young girl in her paintings was almost always lying down. Β It's a good reminder that some young girls worked really hard - and do work really hard.Β

Setting is wonderful. Just jump into it and chase some of these sheeps, jumping and laughing. Lets have a picnic in the afternoon, bring them back to the farm, where we lay ourselves down, listen to grandfathers and mothers tales of past ages until midnight and sleep a bit in the hay until the sun wakes and makes the first mist shiver.
