Yeah it was named Nova Scotia, Latin for New Scotland because the British and the French were fighting for control of North America and the Brits wanted to move a lot of Scot there to populate the place, and overtake the French. Most of us Nova Scotians have Scottish Heritage, Highland Scottish to be exact.

Yes NS does look like Scotland, a bonus!

Yes I watched on documentals about your country that scottish heritage is so full and adpoted the "Scotland the Brave" anthemp (I like the sound of bagpipes)
