Description If I want to spam you with inktober and birds, I will spam you with inktober and birds. And if you don't like it... You know where to go.

Loons are one of my favorite birds, despite me rarely seeing them. They live too far north, and I don't get to go camping in remote areas like I would prefer. Still, hearing them call at night is simply awe inspiring.

And if I needed another excuse, they're Minnesota's state bird.

India inks on bristol, prints available here: society6.com/aprilschumacher/n… Original for sale, note me if interested!

I am all for more birds! This is a great ink, that print is so tempting.

Thanks! I definitely want to draw more birds, as I really need to get my bird drawing game back!

Oh awesome! I really love this one. I think we have one of the coolest state birds.

I think so, too! I'd really like to get to hear more loons while camping in these coming years, I've only gotten to hear them once.

Lol, it seems that every time I see/hear one I don't have my camera.

Part of me wishes I could become a decent photographer, but I feel that money I spend on a decent camera and a good lens would be better off in a more capable photographer's hands!

I do wish I could capture them better, but all I have is fuzzy little memories. All the more reason to strive to see them every year, right?

Yes, I can see how that would work. But it is also nice to learn an advanced camera and thus have the ability to take good photos if need be.

The camera I have now is a very nice one, but I didn't have a clue how to use it when I first got it. I just practiced and taught myself how to use it, and I'm glad I did. I have much better reference now than when I had my little point and shoot.

Hell yes for the Minnesota Bird (and hello, fellow MN dweller!)

Beautiful, by the way ^^ I always love listening to them when I'm up north. It is a haunting, beautiful sound. And your mastery over ink is unbelievable.

Yay! (There are quite a few Minnesotans on here, I've found!)

I'm still so sad I've only been able to hear them on one camping trip near the boundary waters. I have been wanting to camp in more rural campgrounds for years now, but... (my camping companions are not fond of the concept.)

Thank you! I do love ink, and I think sometimes we're able to get along pretty well.

They can be found in the lakes and ponds all over Maine. Acadia National Park and Baxter State Park for starters.
