Description This creature here was first inspired by Diglett, I know, striking resemblance, but honestly the idea of something swiftly moving through dirt and sand popping out now and then to attack their prey concealing part of his body underground is something I directly took from the little Pokemon.
Then I went the unoriginal path and made a giant burrowing worm.
Now this concept, of course, meant I had to deal with two issues: One, how to make such an overly-utilized concept into a convincing and unique design, Two (which I haven't quite got around to solve yet)...what I'm gonna do when it will be Onix turn, huh?

Earthmorw - Ground/Bug Type

The undertremors fakemon.
Newborn Earthmorw are frail and tiny, but they harden and grow continuously throughout their lives.
They have a pair of steel-hard retractable mandibles they use to drill through rock and dirt and to burrow and move underground and to catch their preys.
These are active predators that ambush their prey attacking fiercely from underground, they rarely attack creatures bigger than themselves however and they eat smaller Eartmorw constantly as they are extremely territorial, they are known to swallow their food whole, they have two stomachs, one for food matter and the other for rocks and dirt that they ingest, only the first one is capable of digestion, the other crushes the dirt and immediately sends it along the intestine to be expelled, this is sometimes used by the Eartmorw to conceal or close their galleries as they dig through the earth.
The underground tunnels these creatures make are extremely complex and sturdy, one an Earthmorw leaves its underground lairs often other creatures claims them as their own, Even humans used these underground path as secrets connection from town to town in past.
Despite them being usually territorial and frequently eating each other, if food is particularly abundant in a vast area they may gather together, change their social behavior and even form colonies, these colonies are usually led by the largest member, called Emperor Earthmorw, who, in time will go through a metamorphosis in order to become even more imposing and of use to the other, smaller, member of the colony who can then call upon him if its aid is needed in a fight.
