I wasn't thinking about 19th century style, but maybe there was something hidden in my mind, because some time ago I was impressed by some illustrations / engravings from c.a. Napoleonic era with monuments and antiques of Egypt, everything abandoned and covered with sand... - I like the way how a kind of mistery and a feeling of discovery was depicted there
