Description One of the 5 illustrated historical scenes I was honoured to make for a documentary movie "Zaginiony faraon" ("The lost pharaoh") which is about the polish archaeological mission searching for the ancient tomb in Egypt.

You did a good job rendering these Nubian soldiers, but by and large most tomb robbers would have been native Egyptians involved with the tombs' construction in the first place---priests, government officials, and tomb builders. Which actually makes sense seeing as they would know best how to infiltrate the very tombs they set up. Was the decision to make these robbers Nubian soldiers yours, or was it commissioned by the filmmakers?

Sure, you're right, most of the grave robbers during ancient history were people who participaded in building and decorating the tombs . But in this case as I know there were certain historical circumstances (it was the beginning of Third Intermediate Period) when Nubian soldiers from Egyptian army corps were involved in robberies, it was described by the filmmaker but unfortunately I don't remember the details and source...
