That likely wouldn't happen, but Twilight does have some mental instabilities, an overwhelming fear of failure, and a desire for greater knowledge (like a number of villains before they turned bad), which might eventually lead her into studying darker magic and becoming corrupted. I had a thought about Sombra. What if, like Twilight, he was once a student of Celestia? He could have opened that door under the Crystal Palace and been overwhelmed by whatever his greatest fear was (failure, like Twilight perhaps?) or losing his power like all those who acquire enough of it, as Palpatine stated.

Equestria Girls SPOILER: also the Movies Villain is also a former student of Celestia so who knows how many of the bad guys are the "fault" of her xD (like many Batman villains were accidentally created(or pushed over to an extreme) by Batman like Two-Face in the latest Movie Trilogie)
