Raku ceramic vase. Approx 12" tall.It is not water safe so it would be used for a dried arrangement or reallllly long pencils.

No salt, just raku glazes with metal oxides.

The black edge on the right hand side reminds of a feather. Maybe feathers would complement it nice. A beautiful piece.

Nice Raku! I really like how you did the lip. It gives the piece a very dynamic feel to it. I also like how you did the black areas (wax resist?). Nice colors with that glaze.

oh, 
what you are referring to is a very old and specific technique I have spent years developing. It is called 'wet and heavy sloppy brush'. I am probably the only one in exsistance still using this unique method.

yeah....There is no where really around here that sells things like this....there is one staore called "Romancing the stone" But everything looks so " Factory made" Its hard to find one offs
