Today, I proudly present to you probably one of the quickest works I've ever performed in my full all out style of drawing. Raijin here took approximately 12 hours to complete. *Cheers hysterically*... umm yeah, still not that fast, but eh...

Raijin (Thunder God in Japanese) is actually a half human, half demon character I use for my friend Wil0wah's IM role play. Basically, he's a swordsmith, instrument craftsman, swordsman, martial artist and bard rolled into one. He crafts weapons with sort of musical implementations implanted directly in the weapon, and when he plays, he is able to cast a sort of time magic effect (at this point, since we're starting out, the effects are short).

That weapon there is actually one that he's not currently using, which would be a scimitar/harp. That there is of course a guitar and buster sword rolled into one. I'm hoping that Wil0wah will let me craft this for use in the RP later... but who knows? That guy is so inflexible at times... What about someone start a petition to allow usage of the Guitar Buster? I highly doubt that will help, though, considering who I'm talking about... mou...

Well, yeah, you guys are probably wondering why I used something that means thunder god as a name for my demonic character. The reason: actually, the Raijin in Japanese mythology is actually normally depicted as a demon anyways. And also, that would mean that there is no real clear distinction between Gods and Devils in Japan, would there? They are simply just spirits with different... erm, alignments. Besides, my original plan was to name him Alastor, but I didn't want to do that....

My qualms about the drawing: I don't know, but I feel like this drawing was a step back of sorts, compared to my other drawings. I'm not sure why. Also, I couldn't exactly get the face that I wanted on him. Ah well... I liked how I was able to get a little better with the perspective of the outstretched hand (he's strumming power chords >w< ), but the arm itself may be off because I actually personally have very bad depth perception, thanks to a bad eye. What do you guys think?
