ok..my first attempt of my character was ok...it didn't really capture what i wanted to. i ended up making her look all depressed but this time i succeeded!! i am so excited about those eyes!!!!!!! yes!!! yeah i'm a nerd. i do have to say that i had to be taught how to draw those eyes....i used a tutorial by and some fancy advice from i loved coloring this ^_^ it took me a good 14 hours to do this so i hope you guys like it! i'm proud of it at least ^_^Related content

oh it's easy ^_^ all you need to do is when you are finished with coloring your character, merge all of the character's layers (not the background layer JUST the ones you used for your character), once they are all merged copy it (as in select and copy, do not duplicate the layer), once you've copied it go into your history file and undo the merging layers so that all of your layers are back into a zillion different layers, then press paste and you should have your character on one layer (there will be two of your character because you have the other layers visible). Take this new layer and put it UNDER all of the layers of your character and then just make it really big and fade it! if that's too confusing to understand i can just make you a short tutorial and email it to you ^_^

The thing I find the most interesting is how you have gotten away from the use of black lines.

Eeee! ^_^ Yeah, new drawing! Well first of all, well done, I do agree the eyes are "better" (nothing wrong with the old ones though...) and the colors are splendid. Expression wise, this could be a whole different person though. Your first picture, she seemed a bit more focused, ready for combat. Here, she seems more gentle, nicer, and cuter to boot. So really, I think they're both good drawings, and it's good you can do such a range of emotions! Now, we have to work on a story for her...

lol i'll get around to it eventually. dude! maybe she has a split personality? or a twin?!! one can be all nice and innocent but still kick serious ass while the other one is all focused and serious stuff....and still kicks ass, lol. the outfits are only slightly different...the tops at least...i have a whole new idea for the bottom half but i screwed up thoroughly when drawing it...hence the reason there is only half a body there, lol.

Oh! That sounds like an interesting idea actually, a split personality! I think that could be incorperated quite well into story of sorts or something, but we'd have to work that out... or you could too! ^_^

First attempt at a character...like...I'm totally jealous. I could only dream of drawing this good. I agree, the coloring is really great, it's so smooth and the shading came out so well. I think you did a great job on her eyes and the colors are the perfect match for her outfit, I like the outfit a lot, it seems to fit her look well and I like the semi bright colors too...

I do sketch type artwork and am a horrible perfectionist, so I erase a lot, then when I color it in, it's not shaded the way I love it when it's pure graphite, and it looks crummy...I need to practice it more, but I'm too lazy...
