..ja vettä sataa, taitaa olla kesä!My Salajuhannus -art for the wonderful Unisusi !
Sorry I was so late with this, I had hard time getting inspiration for anything summer-themed as it has been really grey and rainy lately. ..which was where eventually my inspiration for this piece came from! After all, the rainy days and bad weather /are/ a traditional part of Finnish summer - the bright, hot sunny days would grow to be boring eventually if there wasnt those days where you can enjoy the lightning storms and sit cuddled up in a blanket inside with hot cocoa! ...Right? // cough bad excuse for not drawing in happy-go-lucky -summer theme
I have never before drawn proper backgrounds, even less spaces from inside a building - yet this one was fully from a scratch and i had fun with it! that explains why the windowframe looks terrible though >>" sorry about that!
Alright so... Drawing made with SAI, animated with Movie Gear, used maybe 4-5 hours on the whole process. Lots of tea was consumed.

I really like the background of this, even if maybe the lightning doesn't quite match up with it for some reason

( the lightning may have been draw after the main resize so it looks a bit unfitting to the style if you inspect closely lol)

because i sorta doubt that most people like zooming into arts like I do in order to get the full experience of all the detailing idk. fav.me/d7oyha7
and i liked the pixel-looking style it gave + even more so now that i gif-i-fied it, only amplifies the effect ;v;

you know, you could've just drawn it bigger in the first place, because making it pixelly and blocky kind of defeats the purpose of drawing things in smaller view to make it smooth BT
