thats like what happens when a dragon dies all of the other dragons go to the scene as fast as they can to be with their fallen

Yeah, technically it isn't a wyvern. It'd be a Western Dragon.
Still, VERY cool pic, great use of lighting!

that looks more like a dragon than a wyvern but still, the detail is awesome. nice work.

this dragon can't be a wyvern, it has two front legs, but it looks good all the same, please tell me how you did it!

dude...... this is so bad ass..... almost +fav worthy..... it would be in a sec...... but one things bugging me about this..... i think you over did it alittle bit on the draconis..... way too many in the background...... you could have gotten the point across with much fewer wyverns..... also the wyverns would get more blurred and expecially lighter the farther you go back in the picture towards the explosion...though they are all very distinct and dark as fuck........only the ones centered of your site and right in front of the white blast should be pitch black........ sorry about this rant.... im bored..... haha..... but man your on my friends list for a reason..... this shit is still badass..... just needs a few little things corrected (in my view; just my positive critisism)

no prob man...... haha..... your work is great! i can barely draw a dragon (at least the head of one.... im good at the body, haha) let alone construct one in 3d..... then again i havent experimented with my 3d program that much..... maybe i should...... we never got to it in college.... while i was there, haha

So poser has dragon models too? Ive got ver 4 is there a patch or upgrade You could link me to for this type of thing...?Thanks!

OldNorse In reply to VegasMike [2004-05-23 08:20:34 +0000 UTC]
They are not so much as patches/upgrades as they are add-ons you purchase. You can find some free models, but the ones made professionally tend to be much better (and more flexible).
Here is a direct link to the Millennium Dragon:[link]
For tons of free models, textures, etc. check this out: [link]

so i could get models like dragons?/ lol...maybe we should just collaborate.. i love dragons..i so want to do a dragon image but havent got the modelling skills..yet..

OldNorse In reply to DerekEmmons [2004-05-23 08:24:51 +0000 UTC]
You could get the models (although the good ones cost money). I tend to do a lot of custom work on the pre-made model so my work wonβt look exactly like all the other pics using the same models.
Collaborate on a Dragon pic, huh? That would be very interesting. Iβd love to see what the 2 of us could come up with.

very nice, but wyverns typically have 4 appendages not 6. 2 legs and 2 wings. i've got a soft spot for dragons and their ilk, so i'm an instant fan. i love the colours as well.

The background is just gorgeous and the premise for this wonderful. The light shining through the wings is such a wonderful touch to such a raw scene. A definite favorite on my part :3
