Many Thanks, Bob.

Wonderful! And I love the contented expression you seem to have captured, David. !

They had eaten a kill a few hours before, and two cubs associated with the pride were playing about - she may have been the mother, I can't be sure. So, if lions feel contentment, then this was it!

Many Thanks

David

Fine shot and work... a shame about the flies and ticks...

Many thanks, Steven. Yes those flies probably bothered us more than the lions. The species that the locals call flesh flies can bite right through a cotton shirt or trousers - nasty.

Cheers

Very welcome David...there were some flies up in the mountains we called horse flies...they were 3 or 4 times the size of a normal fly and they bit or stung and it hurt like hell...

Quick reply, Steven as I'm having some time off in Scotland. Yes, we have a species called horse flies - nasty.

Cheers

They are so chewed up from the flies, not so bad here. ย Lovely lioness, David!

This pride had long since finished eating their latest kill, and the females were resting. So, not much debris on the face and fur for flies to feast on. There is no doubt that flies are a problem, but they move on to look for fresh pastures!

Many Thanks, Sheri.
Cheers
