Very lucky to be there for this shot - not often that you see this. Also, see that the lion's nose is mottled - that seems odd as well.

Many thanks, Bob. Yes the zoom/extender combo worked very well indeed. I had my 400 mm lens with me, but for back of the vehicle work, it was less reliable. You rely need a bean bag rest for 400 mm work. I've presented these shots as close to out-of-the-camera as possible, but I might work up a few with slightly more contrast and colour. But, grey days give greyish outcomes.
