30 h Piece just finished
.Gladiators entering the arena, I wanted a different but also strong light situation then in my picture "Initiation ceremony".
Sorry for the 80's-heavy metal -glowing-red-eyes-in-the-dark-effekt on the big one, but it has to be...
I used some of my 3d Mudbox creations for Inspiration, but found out pretty fast that relying on them, slows my natural painting flow down to a not usable speed. If you know what youre doing 2d is just so much faster.
Of course all the designs are copyrighted by me.

Yeah i mean anything i sketch that includes any sort of small detail such as scales or mesh or whatever takes forever, so i have a small clue to what is such a pain for an artist.
