I have seen this a lot in other people's galleries: showing their own character ( their fursona ) with another artist's character/fursona, mostly in a sexual situation. I never spoke to anyone who has been drawn in this situation or who drew it as well, so I am somewhat confused. In many cases, it can just be a form of flattery; the artist thinks that the fan's character is sexy, so he/she draws his/her own fursona with that fan's character in a sexual situation, or maybe it is a request ( which might be more of the case ), or just for a ha-ha kicks. Some artists draw extremely well that just having that kind of drawing in one's sketch book is a form of artistic flattery, sexual amusement and humor.In many fan images, I have seen Max Black Rabbit's character ZigZag in hundreds of images with other artist's/fan's characters in sexual/humorous situations. I never talked to MaxBR before, so I do not know the full history of his character ZigZag. Was she only created for sexual humor, or maybe something else? It is not just ZigZag, but many other characters from thousands of artists.
This might even go back to an earlier work I did about respecting your own creation/fursona. Your fursona is you, an animalistic version of you. You want that character to be treated with as much respect as yourself by other people and artists. The artist is the only one who has the power to portray their own character in any way they wish. If someone asks if oneβs character can be in a situation with another, he/she should ask the artist first.
I have not had full out experience with this kind of thing, but many others have. My fursona or characters have not been drawn in any sexual situation before, so I am unsure on how to think about this. I would like to know what others think about this and what experience they went though. This is not a negative topic at all, far from it. Its an artistic experience, fan art, etc.

god, i love the way you speak, either through your stories or just bringing up your thoughts, like this deviation. you have a very unique and effective way to get your views across. your opinions and your seemingly optamistice view on the world and certain subjects are very well spoken, and i look forward to reading the rest of your works. ^^

I seldom think when I draw.

most people seem to believe that because the character is fictional it doesn't matter
personally, I wouldn't draw my fursona in sexual situations with another persons fursona, unless I already do that sort of thing with them in real life
but i will draw my other characters in sexual situations with my friends characters or fursonas, if they ask

Why, I even think about that way with "fanarts" that others make for actual cartoons, like Naruto.

Hmmm... never had thought of it that way really... First time for everything right? I kind of don't have much to say about this since I've never been in that situation before. What I found really amusing was the male and female symbols up above the two fursona's.=3 Very clever. Can't wait to see what else you've got.^^

For me, It would depend on the character, I have several. My closest one; Ardor, I wouldnt want drawn with anyone sexually because she has a mate, my boyfriends character. However, if someone wanted to draw another one of my characters with someone else, more power to them.
I do however owe you some art still (I havent forgotten) and it will involve Ardor with Pussy (I know she is your friends character, but I am sure she is still cose to your heart.) in a slightly sexual image. So perhaps you can get a taste of what it will feel like.

I'm not one to do thatkind of thing... In any case, I'd just feel dirty.
As for MY characters... They're not really meant exactly for that kind of thing... They're all mated. But, well, I suppose I wouldn't mind much... Justy as long as it was kept clean and not to smutty, if it had to be.

I don't really draw and have no 'fursona' but I guess I would say it's fine so long as it doesn't violate the established character. I mean it's one thing to draw Zig-Zag in various sexual situations; it wouldn't quite feel right with Eric Schwartz's Sabrina. [link]

I would ask first, most people wont say no and are pretty happy that someone wants to draw their char. It makes the person feel special that someone likes their work enough to want to draw it

Asking first sounds a good idea, but I get the feeling from the drawings and the descriptions accompanying them that often times the fursonas portrayed are two people who are, in fact, friends so it's probably just a bit of fun for them. They probably do ask, particularly if they've never met the fellow artist in real life (something else I always got the impression from those pictures was that the people behind the portrayed characters know each other in real life). But this is all interpretation.

I have never drawn my fursona. In fact...I really don't have one. I did make a character that had some of my traits...but he isn't really me. So....I don't really know what to say about this.
Anyway great job on the picture! I really like the expression of the girl with the smexy sign over her head. LOL

It really depends with my fursonas...I have my own Mint and then there's her other half, Minta. To be honest, the only fur that Mint tends to be drawn with in any shape or form of a sexual manner (nothing hardcore) is my boyfriend's fur...my evil fur Minta though, I gave special permission to a very close friend that she could draw her fur and my evil fur together...
I think you gotta be careful with whom you draw and stuff, some people can get very upset from what I've seen. I see that like, sexual stuff should be kept between close friends really...It's one of those things *shrugs*
I love this picture though <3 their expressions are just perfect! and the shading looks nifty with the chars and stuff.

EVen before I drew my first picture of my first character, because I'm a shy person who hadn't the confidence to show her, People always asked before drawing her in any compromising positions. Nobody asks to draw fan art of her, and i have several nice pictures. However, with that in mind, she's never done in anythign nude or sexual, or uhm.. any other 'adult' pose without the person doing the job asking first. Or at least, if they don't ask, they don't share with me. Personally, I'd feel very awkward asking for any of my characters to be drawn in anything remotely sexual with anyone else's characters.
Ok, i have to be honest.. there are a few people I would do it for. They are all close friends, so i'd be willing to do a lot more for them, but there is still only one person i would draw or have drawn, my character doing anything sexual with.

rephrase. My character doing anythig hardcore sexual with. Something embarrasing while nude, or sexual comedy I might do with a few friends. Depending on the character.
