Favorite writers: Quite a few.
Favorite games: Ace Combat, TEKKEN series, Soul Calibur series, Burnout, NFSU, Call of Duty series. I still need to get into next-gen gaming.
Favorite gaming platform: PS ANYTHING
Tools of the Trade: Acrylic paints, acrylic inks, drawing pencils, artist coloring pencils, pastels, solid graphite sticks, watercolors, and digital media.

# About me
Hello, and welcome to my Gallery!My name is James, but on the internet I more frequently go by my alias Mikita Polkov, and I represent myself as a cartoon anthropomorphic mouse.
Ever since I was little, I have been drawing for a hobby, up until about seven years ago, when I decided to make it a profession. I also have a heart and specialty for acting and film making. These are my strengths, and I wish to utilize them to the best of my ability.
I am a current college student, hoping to achieve a bachelor of fine arts in Film and Animation, and I would be honored and extremely proud of myself if I could make it into the career field someday. I say this because such a career is 90% hard work and skill, and 10% getting your foot in the door. And thought it looks small, that is a VERY large 10%. But I will keep moving forward and see where my skills and life take me!
Now for some personal works details...
Long ago, I formulated a fanseries, entitled "NIMH Calibur" merging a popular game (The Soul Calibur Series) and a cult 80's cartoon film (The Secret of NIMH). Events in my life delayed the personal production for a few years, but in recent days I have been trying to get back on top of it, rekindled by the discovery of my art being popular searches on Google. The series will be non-profit and strictly for entertainment, as it is based on two franchises of which I have no personal rights to.
I also have plans for writing and illustrating some graphic novels possibly in the future, but the plotlines and character concepts are still being formulated. I may upload drafts and sketches whenever I get started on them. For now, don't expect much.
I also do a yearly illustration once every October to demonstrate personal artistic progress or regression, but hopefully progression. I call him "Dead Fred," and he's a bloody mess once every year. You ought to check out his yearly appearances! :D
Much of my art, as you will notice, features anthropomorphic characters, and many of my favorites feature such artwork. Many would classify me as a "furry." However, I do not wish to be archetyped with that group of individuals. I have nothing against the furry community, and I have mingled in it, and still do, but I just don't quite connect to it in the fullest extent. I'd rather be acknowledged as a cartoonist, artist, as I actually draw much of my interest in anthropomorphics from ancient arts and old cartoons, and find the psychological link between what we call "man" and what we call "animal" very interesting, as we consistently deny our relationship and yet accent and associate our personalities frequently with the animal kingdom (in recent years, I'd even say we're slowly regressing back to our animalistic state, especially when one looks at the modern popular culture.)

Hey I'm starting to wonder something about Redwall. I wonder If Matthias was Born out of the Laterose Plant, in the book it never says where he came from, only that he's an Orphan and that he looks like Martin, an UNCANNY RESEMBLANCE. What if the Laterose devoured Rose, then when that one sprig was brought to Redwall it grew on what was left of Martin, if it extended that far, then when the time came Matthias was bron out of it and found by travelers or a Merchant? One Must wonder.

U certanly have a style all yer own....I LOVE it! I was just scannen through yer gallery and wanted to draw a pic for you. U always been so kind to me..Kind in general.
