Description Finally dumping all my old art on DA...

This one is probably from somewhere in the period of 2002-2004.

---

This is the Visceroid from Command & Conquer; a nasty creature which comes from spontaneous rampant mutation as the result of tiberium It spits a deadly toxic sludge at its victims.

Here you see it attacking a GDI guard tower.

As you may see, I was slightly inspired by the rampant mutation of Tetsuo from Akira when I drew this. In my defense, Westwood was probably inspired by the same thing

Oh C&C. Good times! Funny enough I did not remember the Visceroids, and the last game in the series I played was Tiberium Wars. Also, Akira! One of my first favorite anime movies. Had never seen anything like up to that point!

Even for an old drawing you did get some perspective drawing into it that looks good, and it fits the above view of the actual game.

Ah, it's not surprising; in the first game, this little bugger only appears in multiplayer. Spawns randomly and, through a dumb quirk in the AI, always attacks the most northern valid target. As you can imagine it's not very fair towards whoever happens to be the most northern player on the map.

I love Akira! And apparently so did the Westwood Studios guys; the Recon Bike in the game is a rather blatant ripoff of Kaneda's bike, and the internal name of the Ion Cannon cutscene is literally "AKIRA"

Alas, I haven't kept up drawing. Also, my ADHD got seriously in the way; I'd constantly be doing stuff like trying to get an eye to be absolutely perfect while the rest of the image was barely half a sketch.

I hated these little bastards, especially in Tiberian Sun. Not as much as hostile Tiberium Fiends but they were still a bitch to deal with especially if they were near tiberium and just retreated to heal themselves every time you were close to killing them.

In C&C1 they die pretty quickly, and only spawn randomly on the map in multiplayer (though I've made some C&C1 missions that feature them).

The only annoying thing about them is that the C&C1 "unit on rampage" mode (called 'Hunt' internally) is broken, meaning the visceroids spawned in multiplayer always go for the most northern enemy on the map.

While this makes them rather predictable and easy to kill, it also means that they always harass the same player

I made the only unofficial patch for a C&C game that was ever accepted as de facto standard in the whole community

So yeah, I guess I'm probably, literally, the biggest fan of C&C1 you can find online.

It's not a mod. It's an actual game patch. And as I said, yes, I created it. You can also see my name on the page next to "developed by"... and as author of all the news posted on the page.
