's Rin was a part of the Boiler Tour as a dancer and acrobat.

Karen Kaboom: The word I would use to describe Rin is "infectious". Or maybe contagious. One of those two. But in the best sense of the words, really. Many people were excited to get their costumes and makeup, but few were as interested in the process of it all as she was. Other than a small incident involving a crow and my sequin drawer, I was always happy to have her around. She paid attention and asked questions, but she made sure to never get in my way. And I think that's why her costume came out so different. The better I get to know someone the more personalized the costumes tend to be. And maybe there was something in her that reminded me of Lisa. Perhaps her ability to see past the makeup and dresses and my sexuality. She just saw me as a person, and bonded with me that way. *shrugs* That is, quite possibly the secret of getting past my bitch-armor. To seek me out as both Greg and Karen and both at the same time. I will miss Rin very much when the tour is over.

Reg Lahey: I am a bit of a social moron. When I need people the most I have a greater tendency to hide out on my own. It's all terribly backwards of me. I not sure whether Karen tipped Rin off or if Rin figured it out for herself, but she started this daily routine of squealing my name then jumping on me. Similar, but not identical, to how Lisa used to do it at home. Is she Lisa? No. Could she (or anyone ever) replace Lisa? Not in a million years. But it was still just what I needed to keep me from being a moody bastard. She and Esmee would accost me late at night ... when they somehow knew I wasn't sleeping as I ought to. They'd bring in thermos of tea (appealing to the British in me, I'd wager), and we'd swap stories of adventures both theirs and mine. I think that's what I like best about touring. Getting to know people I never would have otherwise.
